2009 Ford Mustang GT Roush 427 Coupe

Here is one of my pet peeves about specialty cars that have been upgraded from the standard factory model.  I just can not understand why someone would buy a car that has a regular price of around $30,000+ but because it has been modified by a specialty tuner the price rises to over $50,000.  The engine, transmission and suspension are improved but the inside still has the cheap looking and feeling plastic as the same model that costs $20,000.   Why not just buy a $50,000 car that will most likely be a nicer car for the same price?

Now that I have gotten my rant out of the way I will tell you what I think about the car.  I like the aftermarket appearance equipment that has been added.  The wheels, spoiler, body kit and special paint decorations make the car look nicer than the stock version and definitely let people know that you have something special.  The interior has nice two tone seats with blue leather inserts.  There are also some attractive carbon-fiber look accent pieces on the doors and the dash.  The upgraded clutch takes less effort to depress than the stock version which is too heavy for me.  The engine and exhaust have a great sound too.  Clearly this car is better than the stock Mustang GT but is it worth $20K more.  Not for me but you might think otherwise.  Your best bet is to look for a well cared for used one and you will be able to buy it for about the price of the standard GT.
